Geishas74 of 75
Drawn in the round, with different images mapping the path of the design as it works its way around the vase. Geishas is one of the two designs from Paul Hilditch in 2009. Inspiration was derived from a single sentence in a book which told how at times of severe storms around the Japanese coasts, the Geishas’ lanterns were used to light river estuaries. Stylised waves in the Oriental style are complimented by ginko trees, traditional boats and glorious traditional Geisha robes.
